Well, perhaps I'll be doing art sooner than expected.

The other night, my grandfather had a heart attack, and I guess he's not doing too well. He's been through a lot lately. He has diabetes and it's gotten bad enough that they've had to amputate some fingers and toes. Plus he's sort of old, 85. I don't know how much more they'll do for him. I might be able to see him over winter break, if he's still alive.

It just sucks all around.

I haven't seen him in a while. I've been sort of distancing myself from my family (for reasons I think I have a clue about, but I won't go into now). It's been a few years, and even then I didn't see him a ton. But he was always playing with me and my younger sister, not doing adult things.

So, I've been thinking of drawing something for him if I can manage it, though I know I'm rusty and it might suck. Oh well.
